DJ Kemit x Eric Roberson - "Fortune Teller" (video still)
Cannot say that I've checked for this DJ Kemit LP Everlasting, but if it keeps spawning joints like this Eric Roberson feature "Fortune Teller" it is gonna rise up to the top of the to-do list pretty quick. This particular cut feels like the best type of soulful house music in the sense that it sounds like dudes set out to make soul and the dance-able vibe just kind of came naturally from the song; intentional soul, accidental house music. The video features cameos from Ndambi, Rhonda Thomas and Avery Sunshine all congregating (and I do mean 'congregation') in a grown & sexy coffee house/art opening type of situation. Hm, says here that besides those boldface names the LP also features Jean Baylor of Zhané, Frank McComb and...Carl McIntosh of Loose Ends?? Damnit, where did I put that to-do list...(purchase Everlasting on iTunes here).
