Jamiroquai Announce 'Automaton' Release Date, Share Title-Track In Dystopian New Video

After a teaser for a new album seemingly dropped out of the sky, Jamiroquai has officially announced their eighth studio album, Automaton. The announcement arrives by way of a dystopian new video for the album's title-track, finding leading man/robot, Jay Kay, exploring the technocratic future. In a statement from the press release, Jay Kay claims inspiration for the album arrived in "recognition of the rise of artificial intelligence and technology," a theme that's become increasingly prevalent in their music over the last two decades, reaching all the way back to "Virtual Reality."
