Best Southern Hip-Hop Videos To Drop Last Week: Monaleo, Lil Baby & More
We’re spotlighting the best Southern hip-hop videos that dropped last week. Arrivals from Lil Baby, Gloss Up and Monaleo have our attention.
Lil Baby is fresh off of the release of his new album, he revealed a video for “Stand On It” recently.
Monaleo also shared a video for her latest song “Body Bag.”
And Gloss Up returns with a visual for “Alone.”
Lil Baby – “Stand On It”
In case you missed it, Lil Baby recently released his latest album It’s Only Me featuring Young Thug, Nardo Wick, Future, and more. This week, three tracks from It’s Only Me charted in the Top 10 of the Billboard Hot 100 — 25 of his songs are currently charting on the Hot 100 (he’s the third artist ever to conquer this feat). If that’s not enough, the album takes the top spot on the Billboard 200. Last week he shared the video for “Stand On It.” In the visual, he’s seen riding around on ATVs with friends.
Monaleo – “Body Bag”
Right on time for spooky season, Monaleo drops “Body Bag.” Ever since the Houston rapper she shared “Beating Down Yo Block” last year she’s been on our radar. For her latest, she is proving why she’s in the current roster of female acts breathing life into the industry. Her wordplay is the centerpiece of the creepy, blood-stricken visual. Monaleo is currently touring with Flo Milli for her Outbreak tour.
Gloss Up – “Alone”
Gloss Up is still serving up catchy singles. Last week, the Quality Control signee unleashed her “Alone.” It’s been enjoyable watching Gloss Up who hails from Memphis, Tennessee lean heavily into her sound which mainly works so well due to the simplicity of the beats she uses. We’re anxiously anticipating what is next for this laidback rising artist especially since this one was a strong release.
