Childish Gambino AKA Donald Glover has, like the rest of us, long had dreams of joining his comic book heroes either in the frame or on the silver screen. Today it seems that the comedian turned actor turned MC (who was actually the inspiration behind the current manifestation of Spider-Man) will add yet another notch to his belt, providing a new voice to Disney's upcoming rehash of Spidey's tale. You could chalk this one up to privilege reaping privilege, but you gotta admit, it's nice to see a less porcelain-complected lead in a superhero role, animated or otherwise.
Disney's Spiderman: Web Warriors makes its debut this Sunday August 31st on the Marvel TV block at 9AM, so prep yourself for Bino's unveiling as the new web-slinger, only if that's your steez of course. The rest of you can continue your chronic binge watching of Community until he makes his way back.
