Charles Bradley Performs "Confusion" On WNYC's 'Soundcheck'

Lenny Kravitz, Grace Jones, Lauryn Hill, Lion Babe, Thundercat, SZA & More Rock The Afropunk Festival 2015 in Brooklyn, NY.

Daptones Record's anchor Charles Bradley steps into the WNYC studio to perform "Confusion" with his band of Extraordinaires bringing the big band funk of years past to Soundcheck. Bradley-- whose vocals sound eerily similar to that of Joe Tex or The Godfather himself-- got his start when DR's founder caught him doing his JB tribute set in a small club in Brooklyn (at the time he was performing under the Black Velvet moniker) If you're one for that extra raw throwback, this one here is for you. Catch Bradley leading his band The Extraordinaires through the gauntlet on Soundcheck below.
