Baltimore Teacher Accused Of Throwing 7-Year-Old Student Against Wall

A seven year old Baltimore boy was assaulted by an educator at his elementary school this past Monday.

According to a report from WBAL-TV, Trayvon Grayson was assaulted by teacher Timothy Randall Korr, at City Springs Elementary and Middle School.

"My son told me that [the teacher] threw my son into a wall," Lateekqua Jackson, Grayson's mother, explained to the news station. "My son had dreams about it all last night. He's still shaking in his sleep, saying that he keeps having visions of [the teacher] throwing him into a wall."

The incident occurred while Korr was in the process of taking Grayson to the principal's office for disrupting class. On Wednesday afternoon, Jackson told WJZ that her son's jaw was broken and that two of his teeth were missing.

"The teacher told me that he put him over his shoulder, and when he put him down he was bleeding," Jackson recalled. "That's it. How can you tell somebody like that? He said he made a mistake. He said, 'I made a mistake. It was a mistake.' That's what he said."

However, after reviewing school security footage, child abuse detectives obtained a warrant for Korr's arrest. The Baltimore Curriculum Project revealed earlier today that Korr had been fired.

Korr was booked on charges of 1st and 2nd degree child abuse; 1st and 2nd degree assault; reckless endangerment and neglect of a minor.

Baltimore Police spokesman T.J. Smith said the video will not be released, and that it "was disgusting to each and every one" of the officers who watched it.

"To watch a child basically be manhandled like a sack of potatoes is incomprehensible," Smith said.

"We are heartsick that this child suffered this injury," the Baltimore Curriculum Project said in a statement. "We pray for his complete and quick recovery and for his family as well."
