Soul strutting duo Myron & E dropped "Going In Circles," a single off their wildly wonderful soul-revue LP Braodway. The album boasts some of the most prominent Motown sensibilities since Raphael Saadiq's 2011 Stone Rollin' LP and marks another sound release from the Stones Throw crew. The track's plush string arrangements, murky electric organ and superbly layered harmonies revamp the Motown sound in a necessary and proper manner, alluding to some attentive emulation from these Gordy fanboys.
The Hitsville inspired tandem hale from opposite ends of the states, but have found a clear common ground in the Midwest's ageless syndicated tonality and composition. Gaining much acclaim for their lead-off funked-out glittery single "Do It Do It Disco" and the accompanying video, they've cemented themselves into the panorama of the elevated R&B tradition and have made a truly blissful debut LP in Broadway. Myron & E are on tour now in the Midwest and South, but the duo will be taking their show to Europe next, no doubt turning our friends across the pond out with the help of Okay-fam Cody Chestnutt. Check out the soul crunching duo's newest single below, and be sure to keep your eyes and ears peeled for some new funk from Stones Throw's newest signees.
