It's absolutely no secret that Questlove is a fiend for fresh kicks. We know that he's got a pair of Yeezy Red Octobers on ice, and that he's even got a few special playlists queued up for when he's in his sneaker den, deciding what to don for the day.

In a new interview with The Coveteur, the drummer, DJ, producer and mega-collector opens up about his home sneaker setup, admitting that he sees them as so much more than shoes. “My sneakers are like my children, I can’t pick a favorite," he said. "It varies depending on the day. I love, love, love all of my sneakers but I will say that I get perverse pleasure in scuffing up my second edition Yeezy sneaks from 2010.” The feature offers up a look at Questlove's entire home apartment swag, including his bathroom Grammy stash, home office, and more. In it, he explains her personal philosophy of decorating--what sort of emotions win an object a permanent place at home. “Sometimes, it’s meaningful immediately. It appeals to me. It makes an appeal to me to keep it," he said. "Other times, it just evades disposal or discarding and then becomes important later, when it collects the lint of memory. Not actual lint. I keep everything clean." It's a feature full of gorgeous photographs and plenty of beautiful sneaker sneak-peeks.
