Our favorite videos of the week are made up of selects from Busta Rhymes, Doja Cat, SZA, $not, and a few others. Our personal fave is the WiZKid “Essence” visual with Tems.

We’ve got an interesting lineup for the best videos this week this time around. The selects are driven by rap of course, but there are a few R&B/pop-leaning picks you should add to your weekend playlist ASAP.

Busta Rhymes and Mariah Carey hop in their nostalgic bag for “Where I Belong,” while Doja Cat and SZA serve up a twisted visual for the single “Kiss Me More.” BIA, WizKid, Tems and Polo G also released videos that we either enjoyed or think are worth paying attention to.

Also, “Trackstar” by Mooski the song that we can’t seem to escape finally has its own video. Last thing, Saweetie and Gwen Stefani, an unlikely pair linked up for a single titled “Slow Clap.”

Keep scrolling to see our favorite videos of the week.

Busta Rhymes – “Where I Belong Ft. Mariah Carey”

Busta Rhymes unleashes the visual for his new single “Where I Belong” featuring Mariah Carey. The track is the follow-up to the duo’s beloved hit “I Know What You Want,” it even is equipped with a flipped sampled beat.

Doja Cat – “Kiss Me More Ft. SZA”

Doja Cat and SZA have loads of fun on an alternate planet in the video for the pop-focused song “Kiss Me More.” They appear as alien-like creatures who ultimately trick a human from Earth into a threesome. We wonder what the treatment looked like for this wacky, aesthetically pleasing visual.

BIA – “Whole Lotta Money”

BIA’s “Whole Lotta Money” finally gets a video after its appearance on her last EP, For Certain. In the visual which has a guest appearance by Justin Combs, the rapper walks through a bodega, hits a strip club and enjoys the night with some friends.

Gwen Stefani – “Slow Clap Ft. Saweetie”

Saweetie takes a dive into the pop space with her appearance on Gwen Stefani’s new single “Slow Clap.” Both artists head back to high school for the video and share energetic straightforward bars.

WizKid – “Essence Ft. Tems”

We couldn’t help but add “Essence” to this week’s roundup. Tems and WizKid are the perfect match in this cut that first appeared on the latter’s recent album Made In Lagos.

Mooski – “Trackstar”

City Boy J who was responsible for the viral #ShesARunner challenge for Mooski’s “Track Star” recently spoke out about not being included in the official video because he’s gay. He also added, “It will not stop me from what made me who I am today and all I have done for Mooski even if he don’t recognize what I did.” The clip features the singer/rapper in a situationship alongside Coi Leray as a love interest.

Tempest – “Sorry To Say”

Rising Los Angeles singer/songwriter Tempest has unleashed a live performance of “Sorry To Say,” her latest single. Backed by the Ghetto Kids she shares an intimate and enjoyable rendition of the track.

Polo G – “Rapstar”

Chicago rapper Polo G releases the visual for his latest single “Rapstar” equipped with a touching message of what it’s like acclaim fame and money. He’s slated to release his next album later this year.

$not “Whipski Ft. Lil Skies”

Melodic rapper $not returns to release a video for “Whipski.” Featuring Lil Skies, the visual follows the two as truck drivers delivering goods to customers, they end up getting kidnapped by aliens. This plot was a bit strange but we’ll take it.
