Morris Day & The Time have announced plans to play a "Purple Rain"Prince tribute concert on July 1st at Baltimore's Patapsco Arena. The Time, also known as The Original 7ven, is the Minneapolis-bred funk band responsible for cranking out timeless party anthems like "The Walk," "Jerk Out," "The Bird" and "Jungle Love," as well as super producers Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. The concert dedicated to Prince follows the death of the band's iconic friend and collaborator on April 21st. The Time will be joined on the bill by r&b band Secret Society.
