NOLA-Bred Crooner Luke James Follows A Stunning Cover Of Sam Smith's "Stay With Me" With The Release Of His Highly-Anticipated Self-Titled Debut LP.

New Orleans crooner Luke James delivered his highly-anticipated self-titled debut LP today via N.A.R.S/Island Records. The project follows James' emergence and fairly meteoric rise driven by a 2013 Grammy nod for "I Want You" and an undeniable soul vocal, which channels vintage recordings and takes flight every time he unleashes his bright falsetto. His popularity only increased during a subsequent series of dates opening for Beyoncé. Since then, James has kept the momentum going by plying fans with goodies ahead of the project's release. Of those, James' bonus cover of Sam Smith's "Stay With Me" is enough to stop listeners cold with stunning harmonies that may leave some wondering whether he has plans to perform it with the UK phenom. The 15-track deluxe release, which features production from James, also boasts tracks from Salaam Remi, Danja, Kadis & Sean and The Alliance. The project also boasts an appearance from Rick Ross.
