Kanye West To Bring His '808s & Heartbreak' Show To Chicago This November
Kanye West will once more dig into his back catalog and perform all of his 2008 808s & Heartbreak LP live, from front to back, in Chicago. The news comes only a few short days after West performed the record in full during two very special concerts at Los Angeles’s Hollywood Bowl, and might be a sign that Yeezy’s love for the oft-misjudged record has been revitalized. It might also just be a sign that Kanye West is looking for ways to pass the time as the final pieces of SWISH fall into place. It might also not be a sign at all; Yeezus works in mysterious ways.
All that’s for certain is that the show is, in fact, happening. A Ticketmaster listing for November 9th at the United Center is already live, and hopefully an on-sale date will appear sooner, rather than later.
If you’re eager for a taste of what these 808s shows are truly like, you can watch a little bit of footage, featuring Kid Cudi, here. Stay tuned as other details (and hopefully brand new 808 dates) are divulged, and if you’re in Chicago, maybe go ahead and save us a seat?
