Don Cheadle presents H8DES – a short film for Vanity Fair‘s The Decades series that addresses the dangers of media overconsumption from the vantage of VHS – featuring Reaganomics, wrestling and other hallmarks of the 80s piled into a giant heap of refuse from the era that big brands, big hair and burgeoning tech built. The film expands upon the creepy potential of many of the cultural markers of that time in a short but suspenseful clip that finds two teens stuck in a Brat Pack era purgatory after falling through a black hole in the bed. The film is scored by a menacing beat from Black Milk. Check the footage below to view H8DES.
