I can appreciate these measured/thoughtful responses to Kendrick's "Control" verse much more than the onslaught of struggle rappers who had 300 nonsensical bars to share by the next morning. Just like SHIRT felt like he had to put on for Queens last week (over a DIFFERENT beat), Joey Bada$$ does the same for Brooklyn over Knxwledge's production with "Killuminati Pt. 2" (the original is still my favorite Joey song to date). A dope song in and of itself, the track is dually effective as he has some choice words for Kendrick and anyone other outsiders claiming King of NY - listen below.
