Fashion Friday: Dress Easy w/ Adrien Sauvage's Spring/ Summer 14 Menswear Line

The most stylish man is back in force with his Spring/Summer 14 creations. Adrien Sauvage consistently exceeds our expectations by constantly trying to top his previous collections. Sauvage has a number of other strings to his bow and was the talented noisemaker responsible for the sartorialist short film This Is Not A Suit; a great film and an effective medium to demystify or "unfashion" the fashion. Inspired by Gus Vant Sant's The Student, Sauvage's short film continued on the same path; drawing on the same unique approach to narrative tone and hints of humor for This Is Not A Suit, which was a collaboration with Dr. Martens. Sauvage's "Dress Easy" concept--which is synonymous to his dapper stature/figure is a clever statement for a menswear line. Last year around this time, he captured some stunning black and white portraits of Yasiin Bey with garments from his 2012 Fall collection on the road from New York to Houston. Sauvage clearly knows how to stage (or present)  menswear for the man who likes his fashion to be practial. This new collection reflects the sheer diversity and breadth possible within a slim fitted, modern, tailored look. For a line built a classic dapper man's suit, Sauvage's Spring/Summer 2014 line has a noticeable street feel; the inclusion of elements like a sleeveless plaid top and full-bleed photo print shirt with matching backpack open the collection up to a much larger audience of older and younger men, both of whom will find a look that that suits their comfort level within this line-up.
