There’s a whole bunch of new Prince merch coming
It was no secret that Prince was a huge sports fan. When he was alive, he could be seen rooting for hometown teams like the Minnesota Vikings and the Minnesota Timberwolves.
He was rarely seen at Minnesota Twins games, but that hasn’t stopped the team from going all in with Prince.
Starting in the 2018 season, the Twins will start selling various Prince-related merchandise all year round. This includes hats, shirts and balls. This is the first time a sports team has committed to selling an artists’ merch on a constant basises.
With that announcement the team also revealed that they will be doing a Prince Night on June 8; the first 10,000 fans in attendance will receive an inflatable guitar shaped as the symbol.
This will be the second time the Twins held a Prince night. Last year they held one where they gave out purple umbrellas.
Twins reached a deal with Bravado, the company hired by Prince’s estate to handle his merchandising and branding. So Prince’s family seems to be 100 percent on board with this.
