You could make the case that the last few months have belonged solely to SiR--and we'd gladly agree. The Inglewood vocalist, producer and songwriter released one of the finest records of the summer with Seven Sundays, a quasi-concept record that told the story of love won and lost over some of the most superlative beats imaginable. Having already won the respect (and songwriting debts) of Jill Scott, Robert Glasper, Bilal and more, these past few weeks have seen the man raise his own flag high. You really do owe it to yourself to put an ear to his immersive R&B tones.

We already made note of SiR's attendance at a recent taping of Soulection's regular Beats 1 Radio show, including the brief but beautiful live performance he gave, accompanied by only by pianist Tré Pugh. But now, video of the session has been released by Soulection, and it offers us a much closer look at this Californian crooner. To the delight of listeners around the world (and host Joe Kay) SiR performs "Love You," "Cannibas and Karaoke," "The Bullet and the Gun," and "In the Sky" in quick succession. It's truly something else.

"I always try and give something different during live shows," SiR told Okayplayer in an email. "I want it to feel like the record, but on steroids. These songs represent me, so performing live is just another avenue for me to be myself." On that note, watch the man offer the world a bit of himself below, and purchase Seven Sundays on Fresh Selects today.
