Big K.R.I.T. Sculpts A Beat And Drops A Verse On 'Rhythm Roulette'
“I can rap too”
Suppose we all knew that Big K.R.I.T. was a more than capable emcee. But did you know that your boy can cut up soul samples like some of the best in the game? The latest installment of Mass Appeal’s always dope Rhythm Roulette shines some light on this on the often overlooked piece to the K.R.I.T. puzzle, providing the Mississippi rapper with three randomly selected records for him to have his way with.
Typically a producer on Rhythm Roulette crafts one instrumental for each of the records that they select, but K.R.I.T. went ahead and fit his tastiest chops to one, then fit the newly-forged beat with his own verse and hook; likely a first in the Rhythm Roulette canon. All of which is to say, that K.R.I.T. could be one of the most slept-on producers out her. But don’t take it from us. Watch as Big K.R.I.T. goes to work on Rhythm Roulette down below. Here’s hoping Mass Appeal has the good sense to put together a compilation of some sort that rounds up all of the Rhythm Roulette joints in one place for us to enjoy. And yes, K.R.I.T.’s a shoo-in.
