Are Kamala Harris’ Timbs Actually Timbs?

Not everyone is convinced Kamala Harris is wearing Timbs in a viral gif that has surfaced on social media recently.
People on Twitter are divided on if Kamala Harris is wearing a real pair of Timbs in a viral gif that has surfaced recently.
The gif shows Harris stepping out of a plane; as she makes her way down it becomes more apparent that the Democratic VP candidate is wearing what appears to be a pair of Timbs. But not everyone is convinced.

They’re not even the same Timbs we rock in NY. Sole game as soft as Cali. She may as well wear Uggs. pic.twitter.com/5glsR20jZN

Others, however, appreciate Harris choice of shoe.

Now, are these Timbs as we’ve come to know them to be? No. Although they share a resemblance to the boots, a clear giveaway is the bottoms. Yes, comfort is important. But it’s those bottoms that separate the Timbs from the Timberlands. With that said, are the shoes, at the very least, Timberland-made? They likely are. The Timberland website includes a pair of Skyla Bay boots, which look very similar to the ones Harris is wearing not just in the gif but in other images, too.
So, are Harris’ Timbs, Timbs? No. Are they Timberlands? Looks like it. Is she pandering? Maybe, but also maybe not? Who knows?
Last month, Biden selected Harris as his vice-presidential running mate. Harris is the first Black woman and the first person of Indian descent to be nominated for national office by a major party. She’s also only the fourth woman in history to be chosen for one of their presidential tickets. Harris dropped out of the race late last year after running out of money in her own bid for president. Despite having clashed with the former VP over busing desegregation in one of the debates, in the week following the termination of her campaign, Biden alluded to considering Harris as a running mate, noting: “She is solid. She can be president someday herself. She can be the vice president. She can go on to be a Supreme Court justice. She can be an attorney general. She has enormous capability.”
