Blueface Now Facing Possible 3 Years in Prison Over Felony Gun Charge

The Los Angeles rapper was arrested earlier this month.

Blueface is now facing a felony gun possession charge.

The rising Los Angeles rapper has been indicted on possession of a loaded, unregistered handgun.

According to a report in The Blast, the Los Angeles County District Attorney's office states Blueface's charges stem from a Feb. 1 arrest that saw him released on $35K bail.

Prior to the gun being found by authorities, the police presence reportedly caused Blueface's associates to flee the scene, leaving their firearms in the process. The 22-year-old artist and two other men were arrested. Earlier this month, Blueface's team insisted the gun was not his.

Now, the 22-year-old is facing a felony charge that carries a maximum of three years in prison.

Blueface is also due in court for a separate gun case stemming from a November 2018 incident in which the artist was allegedly involved in a robbery and shootout. He was inside of a vehicle that crashed before being arrested on charges of assault with a deadly weapon. The felony was reduced to a misdemeanor gun possession with a possible year in jail. He pleaded not guilty in December.

Over the past few months, Blueface's polarizing but meteoric rise has been marked by a Billboard Hot Rap Songs top 10 hit, a Cardi B collaboration, a YG collab, and nods from veterans like Ice Cube and Nicki Minaj.
