Happy Friday, folks.
This week's drops could hardly wait for Release Day to creep up. Hip-hop heavies held court at the top the week with the latest chapter in Black Thought's Streams of Consciousness saga arriving top of Monday morning along with JID's stellar and star-studded DiCaprio 2. But the bulk of the full-length haul arrived on Thursday night, marking triumphant returns for enigmatic Earl Sweatshirt and the mighty Meek Mill, each adding righteously-sharp suites to their respective catalogs.
Loosies and micro-tapes lit up the long-plays, though. KAYTRANADA two-stepped back into the fold with a hard-hitting three-track project, featuring Ty Dolla $ign and Shay Lia. Alchemist liberated a dusty soul stunner with Earl, Roc Marciano, Conway, and Westside Gunn. Chance The Rapper snuck out a pair of slick, rapid-fire singles. Blood Orange reconfigured his Negro Swan closer with Ian Isiah and Yves Tumor. Saba swooped through with his fourth slinky single in as many weeks. And that's hardly the whole script.
