A new interview with Kendrick Lamar finds the Compton rapper in a candid mood chatting with Variety.

Draped head-to-toe in Nike garbs (note the Off-White "Top Tens,") Lamar runs through a lightning round of inquiry, revealing a deep reverence for Jordan Peele's directorial debut, Get Out, and its deceptive subversion of racism and oppression. He goes on to wax nostalgic over Snoop Dogg's "Nuthin' But A G Thang" opening, crowning it the "greatest single verse of all-time." It also happened to be the first he ever learned.

Perhaps most notably, however, when asked about "dream collaborators," Lamar articulated a profound love for r&b's royal, Anita Baker and Sade. The former, a legitimate non-sample based prospect, could pan out, while the latter, a reclusive muse that's stayed off-the-grid longer than Frank, is probably a longshot even for Top Dawg (unless, of course, Lamar is willing to out-Drake Drake, yet again, by having a portrait of Sade's Diamond Life tattooed to his back.
