Cronos - "Lightbulbs" (video still)
Cronos is a new-to-the-scene DJ and producer from North London. Not sure if he got his name from Guillermo del Toro’s vampire flick from the 90s but he’s made an impression on us over here at Okayplayer. His debut tune “Lightblubs”--released a couple of weeks ago and featuring Lander Khadel--is effortlessly beautiful. The video (below) is a variation on the theme of emotional heartbreak told through screwed-tempo dance steps by b-boy Benjamin Mailing, perfectly matched to the slow-moving chords and hypnotic refrain of “she’s not a lover, she’s just a friend. “ Cronos also dropped a tough unofficial remix for "Reconsider" by The XX, on which he maintains the same low-key vibe, check that after the jump.
