Frank Ocean Threw a Lavish 'Paris is Burning' Inspired 30th Birthday Party

A glammed-out bash for the birthday boy

This past weekend, on October 28th, Frank Ocean celebrated his 30th birthday with a lavish party, inspired by the seminal 1990 documentary, Paris is Burning.

On top of the Eiffel Tower cake, the evening hosted a drag ball, appearances from bestie and longtime collaborator, Tyler The Creator (sporting a mean, royal green suit) as well as SZA and Joanna The Scammer, who can be heard belting out over the gathering as attendees sang happy birthday to Ocean.

Ocean has previously referenced the film by sampling a snippet of monologue in his Endless track, “Ambience 001,” released just days ahead of his other 2016 project, blond(e)d and its accompanying, Boys Don’t Cry magazine.
