T’Challa Gets Animated in New Trailer for Disney's 'Black Panther' Spinoff

Black Panther's Quest premieres September 23rd on Disney XD

Following the historic success of Black Panther's silver screen debut earlier this year, T'Challa and The Avengers will save the world from itself once more in the upcoming animated spinoff series, Marvel's Avengers: Black Panther's Quest.

According to ComingSoon, the awakening of a long-dormant villain poses a new-ish threat to Wakanda, sending the superpowered suit and its inhabitant to battle along with the rest of the team. Fan-favorite, Shuri, sister and tech-savvy sidekick to T'Challa, is front-and-center and leading the charge to keep The King humble and heroic all at once.

Currently, Black Panther remains the highest-grossing film of the year (third highest box office performance of all-time) with over $700 million domestically and over $1.3 billion internationally (9th all-time.) With the final chapter in The Avengers due in April of 2019 and a sequel to the standalone Black Panther rumored to arrive next year as well, the animated series will be something of a placeholder for fans anxious to lay eyes on a new installment of Marvel's most lucrative property to date. But this'll have to do for now.
