Unknown Mortal Orchestra Gets Very Funky On 'Conan'
One time for Unknown Mortal Orchestra, transcending indie purgatory and establishing themselves as a major presence on the world's stage with one of the year's most refreshing records. Last night, UMO may have played their final stateside gig with a stop at the Conan studio, where the Kiwi crew blazed through an all-the-way-live take of their Multi-Love standout "Can't Keep Checking My Phone" with a very fitting appearance from fellow line-blur Connan Mockasin holding down percussion. For those of you on the other side of the pond, the clip should provide ample justification for copping a ticket to any one (or ten) of their 45+ forthcoming tour dates, which are listed below along with the full video of the performance.
