Method Man Reveals Meaning of "Tical," Recounts Creation of "The What" with Biggie Smalls

Desus & Mero's season two finale was a trove of tales from Wu-Tang Clan's come-up

Last week, VICELAND's number one show on late-night invited the mighty Method Man to the set as the latest illustrious guest to grace Desus & Mero with some gems from the past.

The Wu-Tang Clan member was not shy about the group's humble origins, sharing tales from their pre-fame days. Mef revealed that in their earliest press days, he and Ghostface Killah were still very much grappling with the vestiges of street life, even as they were establishing respective solo careers. The Staten Island MC debunked any Wu-Tang vs Bad Boy beef rumors, though he did admit to having to be stowed away in the middle of the night to record his Notorious B.I.G. collaboration, "The What." And when it came to rolling out a solo Wu-Tang project, it was, in fact, Ol Dirty Bastard who slated to become the group's first breakout had he not ran with his advance.

He goes on to reveal the long-deliberated meaning of "Tical," along with his favorite moniker.
