Soul singer Foushee is first up with her timely debut project Speak Up. Cookin Soul follows with the latest instrumental project entitled Snow Beach. Mecca:83 scores the late night with the Midnight Radio EP and Shaolin Jazz mashes Nancy Wilson with the Wu-Tang Clan on Sweet Nancy.

Left-of-center soul singer Foushee follows the ESSENCE debut of the official video for “By One” with her debut project Speak Up.

Speak Up' pokes fun at a phrase I was constantly told growing up. I was a shy, soft-spoken kid, but I was very creative so I used music and art as an expressive outlet. Now that I've grown and experienced life, I finally feel like I found my voice. Now I'm ready to speak up and I have so much to say. The Shaolin Jazz crew return with their latest project entitled Sweet Nancy from Shaolin. The thirteen-track project “dedicated to the unsung and incomparable Nancy Wilson” pairs her music with bars from Wu-Tang Clan, Redman, D’Angelo and more.

Federico Martínez Penna - Brazilian Crates (1970-1980)

Federico Martínez Penna lends his ear and a storehouse of vintage jams to the Brazilian Crates (1970-1980) mix. Combining funk, disco, psych rock, and fusion, he dives deep to spin some of the very best in South America’s musical vaults. Tracks from Neno Exporta Som, Om with Dom Um Romão, Azymuth, Eumir Deodato, Arthur Verocai, Gerson King Combo, Hermeto Pascoal and more make the cut.

Rahiem Supreme - Black Cinema

Prolific D.C. spitter Rahiem Supreme officially racks up three projects in three consecutive months. Following the March release of his Vintage Fendi EP and the April release of Connoisseur, he drops the smoking ten-track Black Cinema tape produced by QB.

Eric Boss - Crossroads

Producer Eric Boss combines favorites from the Bone Thugs-N-Harmony catalog with Migos tracks on the appropriately titled Crossroads mashup tape.

Mecca:83- Midnight Radio EP

Mecca:83 returns to soundtrack the twilight hours with the Midnight Radio EP. The seven-track project combines jazz samples and Fender Rhodes progressions. Mecca:83 caps the arrangements with guest appearances from Marak, brothermartino, and K Le’Maestro.

DTX producer and multi-instrumentalist Ben Hixon follows the hard as nails Twisted Black Remixes with two volumes of Rare 80’s & Gospel. The pair of sets both clock in over the forty minute mark and deliver exactly what the title advertises. A real gem for the diggers.
