Blueprint - Two-Headed Monster
Known to many as a prolific MC, Blueprint dusts off his producer’s cap to showcase his skills behind the boards and in the booth on the aptly titled Two-Headed Monster LP.
Throughout the history of hip-hop, there have been many great producers and many great MCs, but very few who excelled at both. With Two-Headed Monster, Blueprint shows once again that he a monster at both beats and rhymes. Produced entirely by Blueprint, the album also features guest appearances from underground legends Slug of Atmosphere, Aceyalone, Mr. Lif, Wordsworth, Supastition, and Has-Lo. The result is a soulful boom-bap album that adds onto the legacy of the great MC/Producers who paved the way before him.
DJ Rahdu - Discogs Mix 071
DJ Rahdu drops tunes from Roy Ayers, K-Def & The 45 King, Donald Byrd, Azymuth, Buttering Trio and more for Discogs Mix 071.
I honestly had no clue what to include on my mix for Discogs. I had an idea of course, but was unsure of exactly how I wanted to present/express myself. I’ve done a boatload of Nu Soul/Hip Hop mixes, and several mixes of the new jazz artists on the scene and didn’t wanna paint myself in a corner artistically. When I think of Discogs, vinyl immediately comes to mind so I decided to start with a funk jazz/rare grooves set and kinda feel my way out from there. I went to my lil’ DJ studio, opened the window, let the sun in and what you hear is Discogs Mix 71. This mix is the perfect soundtrack for your Spring and Summer – outdoors or in your ride with the windows and top down. I hope you enjoy!
Shaun Anthoney-Bey - Pray Everyday
Old Money alum and Brooklyn native Shaun Anthoney-Bey drops tunes from Frank Ocean, Azealia Banks, DJ Lag, Goldlink, Theo Parrish, D.R.A.M. and more during the small but mighty Pray Everyday mix.

The Rub - Rub Radio: Hype Williams Tribute Special
The Rub primed fans for a recent screening of Belly with a quick musical tribute to celebrated director Hype Williams. To think the result of this decision was anything but fire is crazy.
To get pumped up for our Belly screening and afterparty, we’ve been gathering up all the songs with Hype Williams music videos. Hype has directed something like 200 clips since 1991 - he’s done 20 videos with Kanye West alone. So to keep the mix from being 10 hours long, we focused on his mid to late 90s output, basically the Belly era. And it’s a real meaningful time for us, as we went from rocking house parties to playing primetime slots in New York clubs along this same timeline.
Seangran - Stay Cool #020
Seangran serves up a guest mix from Italian selector DayKoda with the 20th installment of the Stay Cool mix series.
This week we dropped part one of our debut compilation and I caught up with the talented Jazz musician and beatmaker Dominic J Marshall about his new releases and DayKoda from Italy supplied an incredible guestmix. Stay Cool #020 also marks the first time the show was fully improvised, so let me know if you enjoyed it!
DJ Tara - Life of the Party: May Mix
DJ Tara takes a moment to toast the nightlife for the May 2018 installment of her Life of the Party mix series.
This podcast is inspired by and is about nightlife. There are so many stories buried within a night out at a bar or club or any space that has music and dancing. There are so many people involved that make these magical nights happen and the aim of this podcast is to tell some of these stories by talking to those who contribute to nightlife - from the DJs to the venue owners to the bouncers and more. For many, nightlife isn't just entertainment. It is sanctuary and freedom when day-to-day life does not afford those opportunities.
