The Roots caroling live at the OKP holiday jam (recap video)

We are now a a good 4+ days into the 12 days of Christmas, y’all, and you know what that means: means The Roots + Friends have already made the yuletide bright for those of us lucky enough to be in attendance at Okayplayer’s Annual Holiday Jam–and now we get to share the goodies with you. You’ve already seen performance clips from Raekwon and ragga soca king Bunji Garlin. Now we are unleashing our recap of the entire winter wonderland that is the OKP HOliday jam; a flying-reindeer’s eye-view of performances from (in addition to the aforementioned wu-assassins and bacchanal badmen) Big Daddy Kane, Bilal, Mr. Vegas, Valerie June, Reggie Watts, Rahzel, Sufjan Stevens, Adrian Younge and Addis Pablo with the Suns of Dub, Mozaic Flow and…oh just watch! It was a lot of dope musical guests who came to wild out, perform their favorite holiday carol and nog some eggs if you know what I mean. If you can find any other event that brings a line-up like that to a venue that’s more intimate and with people more beautiful in attendance, please invite us. It’s a holiday festival for the resta y’all. With bowling. And 5$ Heineken’s (shouts to Heineken’s and House Of Marley for bringing the cheer). Watch below:
