Leave it to psychedelic sound sculptors Animal Collective to take a track that was already seeping in strange and flip it on its damn ear. Remember back when Shabazz Palaces was just starting to give us tastes of their Lese Majesty LP and we got the endlessly eerie treatment for "#CAKE" ? Well, the Baltimore-bred four-piece has put their hallucination-inducing touch to the track that takes it to the farthest reaches of the spectrum, adding their own vocal arrangements and a slew of displacing modifications that will suck you into their nightmarish soundscape. It's the second treatment to feature the Shabazz crew this week, having lent their talents to fellow Black Weirdos THEESatisfaction on the inaugural track from their forthcoming EarthEE LP "Recognition" just a few days ago.
