DJ Premier Puts A Heady Flip On LION BABE's "Wonder Woman"
NYC-based future r&b duo LION BABE have enjoyed a swift start in the game. Within the last 365 alone, they've managed to catch the eyes and ears of the masses with their very own brand of sample-heavy concocting, perfectly tied together by the magnetic vox of singer Jillian Harvey's and the glitchy chops of producer Lucas Goodman. Today we have a freshly revamped treatment of their latest single "Wonder Woman" provided by the legendary DJ Premier, who is just the latest of top-tier sonic specialists to take notice of the electric tandem's high-voltage and infectious soul stuff. Preemo takes the buoyant Pharrell production for a ride through his boom-bap prism, adding big, bold, straightforward drums, a proper piano lead and some flutters of bells to smooth out the cut. Their gratitude was expressed in a statement to FADER:
