Jermaine Dupri & Da Brat Stage A So So Def Reunion On New Single "F.U. Pay Me" ft. The-Dream

If the unexpected resurgence of Ghost Town DJs' "My Boo" has taught us anything, it's that there's a desperate need for So So Def in 2016. And its success as the "Running Man Challenge" score appears to have accomplished more than just being the 20-years-late soundtrack of summer. This morning So So Def founder, Jermaine Dupri, released his first single since 2011's "Boomerang," reuniting with Da Brat on the very vintage new cut "F.U. Pay Me," featuring hit-maker du jour, The-Dream

The track is an easy recall to the heyday of the ATL-based label with a sleek and summery throwback r&b feel, tied together by the smooth serenade of The-Dream. And so, while Dupri may be making mogul moves with his other enterprises, it's good to know he's still more than capable of aligning the appropriate elements to churn out a gem. You can hear So So Def's finest reunite on "F.U. Pay Me" below. Just be ready to add this to your summer rotations. The nostalgia is almost too much to bear here.
