Elle Varner – Conversational Lush [Mixtape Stream]

Placing the next yellow brick in her own personal road to stardom (can you see that emerald city in the distance? We can see it) new kid Elle Varner dropped a 10-track mixtape titled Conversational Lush. Still absorbing it but seems like the only song we’ve encountered in some form is “Refill” and the rest is unheard material. And it’s good–only on my first listen and I’ve already identified a few standouts like “Feel Like A Woman”; “Do You Want To” and “Ghosts.” Stream below via Elle’s soundcloud.

I have to agree with “CoriB” but I like her! and my favorite song is “Do You Want To” been listening to it all week. I think she has a bright future ahead however. =)

Vocally, lyrically and melodically solid. Hope to hear her over some realll nice production that isn’t like anything else we’ve heard.

Her voice is great and hope she focuses more on her originality that sets her apart from the other female singers out there right now like we really hear in her other single…WOW…at times on here she gets a little close to sounding stylistically like all the rest, but it’s clear she’s got her own and I think we’re all looking forward to hearing more from her!

Elle Varner’s so amazingg! Loved her since I heard ‘All I Want Is Him’ featuring Miguel & J. Cole. hopefully lots more to come from herr! my favourite from the mixtape is ‘So Fly’ as i’ve heard it before but only as an acoustic so is better to hear a proper studio version. love love love itt! i also lovee 32 flavours:) not sure if all of the other tracks are quite as original as some of Elle’s other work but there is still some good ideas going onn. Love Elle’s indivuality and cant wait to here some more from her!
