Take A Lap With Black Thought At The 2nd Annual 'ROOTS ROCK RUN 5K' Benefit
Black Thought and The Rootsare teaming up with GCF (GrassROOTS Community Foundation) for the ROOTS ROCK RUN 5K benefit event going down immediately before Roots Picnic on May 31st, which strives to raise money and attention for girl's school health programs. After the success of last year's inaugural run in Philly, the Foundation is taking the lap to Germantown, a place with a very real sentiment for Black Thought. As he expressed it:
"GrassRoots is a testament to the difference we can all make when we put our focus on helping others. It means a lot to me for this year's Roots Rock Run 5K to be taking place in Germantown, an area in Philly that my father and grandfather had close ties to. I hope those who can will join us on May 31, and then stick around for our great Roots Picnic lineup later in the day."
