Pass the 40 oz. and pour out a little liquor for Chris Lighty, who passed away today at the age of 44. Before he became an industry legend with his Violator Management company (Q-Tip, Busta Rhymes, 50 Cent, etc.) he carried crates for DJ Red Alert and was a Native Tongues crew-member in good standing. You can hear his verse on Black Sheep‘s posse cut “Pass The 40″ below (at 2:22) in between cameos from Dave Gossett and Chi Ali.
