Action Bronson has spent the last year of his life building a case for his newly-cemented role as the rap game Anthony Bourdain. And on his 31st born day, we're adding a bit more fuel to the cooking fire and unveiling this exclusive OKP TV interview with the blue-eyed bomber as he charmed us through "The Questions" backstage at the legendary Roots Picnic. While most of you probably remember a very different Bronson from that warm late-May day in Philly's Penn's Landing (the crowd-diving, beer-truck belly-flopping side of him, to be exact) it was behind closed doors that we got to peer into his third eye a bit, revealing the charismatic, globetrotting foodie and herbal connoisseur that we all know and love.
You know how it goes with "The Questions"; only the most biting inquiries for our dear Okayplayers. So naturally we began with how he keeps up that well-mannered beard of his (answer: milk thistle y'all). Aside from the grooming tendencies, we spoke with AB about his favorite spots to munch at in his hometown of Queens, NY, whether he felt some kind of way about Raekwon going by The Chef (short answer: nah) and naturally, where in the world his best and worst herbal snacks were procured (which brought him back to a special "trip" he took in South Africa) And let's not forget the endless realm of culinary possibilities when it comes to truffle oil.
