With the exception of a few one-off contributions to new albums from HAIM and Blondie, it's been a pretty quiet year for Dev Hynes.

The Blood Orange musician has toured a bit, and his slated to hit Hollywood Bowl later this month with Solange, KING, Kelela and Moses Sumney as the cap to a year mostly spent on the road. Today he's shared “BOWERYLDN EDIT 6 15 SEPTEMBER,” a new demo from Blood Orange on his Soundcloud page. The 4-minute-plus sketch begins in a jazzy murk, before bright guitars strums crack the sky open, closing with a return to that rhodes-y gloom.
