Cory Booker shared his top five on Twitter Wednesday afternoon.
Senator and former Democratic candidate Cory Booker has shared his top five rappers and, although it is a good roster, doesn’t seem to be endorsed by a handful of people on social media.
On Wednesday afternoon, Booker took to Twitter to share his top five, which he said he previously revealed during an Instagram Live with Fat Joe.
On an Instagram Live last night, I was asked by @fatjoe who my top five favorite rappers are. Here's my list. What's yours?
Chance the Rapper

“Here’s my list. What’s yours?” Booker wrote before listing the following rappers off: Chance The Rapper, Common, Talib Kweli, Jay-Z, and Queen Latifah.
Booker has since received a number of responses reacting to his list, with most of them being unfavorable. Even former South Carolina State Representative Bakari Sellers reacted, writing “Huh?” before offering his own top five: Jay-Z, Tupac, Biggie, Eminem, and Andre 3000.

With all due respect, Senator… I’d wager that none of those rappers may have those rappers in their top five. Maybe Jay-Z. List starts with Black Thought and Rakim, and then debate can ensue.

Chance isn't even Chance's favorite rapper, man.

At the very least, Kweli approved of the list.
Previously, Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez joined Fat Joe on an Instagram Live session, where the pair discussed politics, their native Bronx, and more for nearly an hour. During their conversation, Joe also asked AOC about her top five MCs.
“Not in order – Nas, Big Pun is up there, of course, we’ve got Biggie…of course we’ve got Tupac…the fifth one is so hard,” she said, before choosing KRS-ONE to round out the top five.
“You have a mean starting five, yo,” Joe said in response. “I didn’t know I liked you this much!”
Hopefully, Joe will be able to find out the top five of Bernie Sanders next.
