LL Cool J Fully Embraces His History of Making "Ridiculous" Music Videos

On Thursday, LL Cool J emerged with a recap of some of his most wild moments in throwback music videos and explained his wild antics.

Although a certified heartthrob in the '80s and '90s, LL Cool J was often cringe in his music videos. Last week on Twitter, some of Big Elly's most outrageous moments went viral as users discussed his antics in visuals for "Loungin (Who Do Ya Love)", "Headsprung" and "Paradise."

LL had the last laugh, posting a TikTok of himself commentating on his wild behavior. In the clip from the 'Headsprung' video, LL is shown playing the guitar on a woman's leg, which he explained.

"Playing the guitar on a young lady’s leg. My father always said, when I asked him if he worked out, he said ‘the heaviest thing I lift is a leg.’ I always loved that,” LL said in the clip.

Apparently, leg action is common for LL. In the video for "Can't Explain It," he poured chocolate syrup on another woman's leg.

“Definitely was wylin. Although, I always felt there should’ve been more chocolate. Maybe using a giant paint brush or something and just really go in," he said.

LL also poked fun at himself for Deep Blue Sea soundtrack cut "Deepest Bluest (Shark's Fin)."

“Everybody knows my hat is like a shark fin. You know, bald head and all that. You know what I’m saying? Cut through the concrete…Yeah, I love it. Shark week, baby. I love the sharks. It’s what I do. Hat is like a shark fin — no question about it.”

It's safe to say that despite being unhinged, LL has gotten his flowers. After being inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame last year, LL recently became immortalized with a solar-powered bronze statue in Queens.
