Drake Fans Take Feud into Their Own Hands, Vandalize Kanye’s Childhood Home

Tensions between Drake and Kanye continue to escalate.

It doesn’t appear that the arrival of Kanye‘s DONDA has done anything to tamp down his tensions with Drake.

In fact, the cold war between the rap-friends-turned-rap-foes seems to have intensified over the weekend. And now, the fans are getting involved. According to a report from TMZ, Kanye’s childhood home in Chicago was vandalized by a group of Drake devotees on Friday night. The fans left three signs on the stairs of the modest South Shore home, reading “CLB coming soon,”(a reference to the title of Drake’s incoming album,) “Fuck Justin Laboy,” (the social media personality who initially announced Kanye’s DONDA release,) and “4544 burnt out” (a callback to a line from Drake’s verse on Trippie Redd’s “Betrayal,” which may have reignited the feud.)

The blue facade may look familiar to those that tuned into the final DONDA listening party in Chicago last week. A replica of the home was fabricated as a centerpiece for the show, which controversially featured appearances from unflinching homophobe, DaBaby, and Marilyn Manson, who was recently accused of sexual abuse by five different women.

While no charges have been filed and little if any damage has been reported, the signs seem to serve as retaliation for West’s own escalation of on-again-off-again friction. Last week, the rapper doxxed Drake in a quickly-deleted Instagram post, publishing the Toronto star’s home address, which was seen by many as a step too far.

DONDA ended a cursed month-long rollout on Sunday morning, finally dropping on DSPs after three listening events, each for a slightly tweaked version of the album. The (presumably) final form features contributions from JAY-Z, Playboi Carti, The Weeknd, Baby Keem, Travis Scott, Young Thug, Kid Cudi, Ariana Grande, Tony Williams, Westside Gunn, Conway The Machine, Ty Dolla Sign, and more.
