Sir Elton John Joins Teyana Taylor in the “Lose Each Other” Video

The latest Teyana Taylor video features an unexpected guest star.

On Tuesday, Teyana Taylor dropped the video for her latest single “Lose Each Other.” Once again, Taylor directs the video, that features her own choreography as well as a special guest star — Sir Elton John. Find the full video below.

“Lose Each Other” is such a special record for me,” Taylor said. “I wanted the visual to feel just as big. I told my team “you know what would be dope? If I could have Elton John open the video on the piano! Not that I thought it could really happen, but just putting it out there in the universe.”

Taylor recently welcomed her second daughter, Rue Rose Shumpert, to the world. The “Lose Each Other” video was shot before her birth.

“So as we were working through treatment ideas and logistics for the video,” Taylor continued, “an international phone number calls me…and for a second I almost didn’t answer, but my intuition spoke. All I hear is “hello darling, it’s Elton. I’d love to do your video!’ I freaked out.”

“Lose Each Other” is the fifth video from Taylor’s The Album. She’s directed each music video from the album under the name of Spike Tey. She previously released the video for “Concrete,” co-starring husband Iman Shumpert.

“This was seriously a dream come true for me,” she wrote on Instagram. “I’m so happy I finally get to share this with you guys!”
