Update: Music website Pitchfork has reached out to Atlantic Records, Lil Uzi’s record label, about the song. A rep said: “The record that was released today is a leak. Not official.”

Lil Uzi has released his first new music of 2019. The song is the first track from the rapper since he retired then seemingly unretired after striking a deal with Roc Nation.

The track features Uzi rapping for almost three minutes straight over G Herbo’s “Gangway” beat, essentially updating fans about his status. (He even talks about the $3 million in taxes he owes.) With the release of the track, Uzi wiped his IG clean, and the only thing featured is the single’s cover.
So it means this is the beginning of a rollout.
