Trailer Released For 'Public Enemies: Jay-Z v Kanye' Documentary

Last week came news that UK's Channel 4 was premiering a documentary on the relationship between Jay-Z and Kanye West calledPublic Enemies: Jay-Z v Kanye, and now a trailer for the film has been released.

The 40-second clip features appearances from a number of people close to the artists, as they talk about how everything from Kanye looking up to Jay as a father to how the rappers perceive their art differently.

"Jay-Z is very thoughtful about music; Kanye believes all art comes first," Touré says during one of the trailer's scenes.

Aside from exclusive interviews with people close to the pair, Public Enemies will also include home video, and unseen footage.

"In the process of building their empires, Jay-Z and Kanye have provided a spine tingling soundtrack for a generation," Nico Wasserman, the film's director, said in a statement. "Their story goes beyond their music and has opened up discussions on everything from class barriers to mental health."

"Arguably two of the coolest and most influential artists in the world, their incredible life stories offer a fascinating new twist on the American dream," added Rob Coldstream, Channel 4's commissioning editor of special factual. "These are two mega-personalities whose success and rivalry has captured the public's imagination."

Public Enemies: Jay-Z v Kanye will air Monday, July 31 at 10 p.m. Check out the trailer below.
