Producer Seth Rogen Apologizes for Black Face Incident on the Set of 'Good Boys'

Seth Rogen:"This shouldnt have happened, and Im terribly sorry it did

Producers of the upcoming comedy Good Boys got in hot water this week when a story came out that they darkened the skin of one of the child actors. Now one of those producers is speaking out.

And he's apologizing.

That producer is Seth Rogen and he put a statement on Thursday, August 2nd, apologizing for what happened. Rogen said "This shouldnt have happened, and Im terribly sorry it did.

He also said:

I wont give excuses for why it happened. Ill just say that as soon I was made aware of it, I ensured we put an end to it and I give my word that on any project my team and I are involved in, we will take every precaution to make sure something similar does not take place again. Im engaging in conversations to make sure I find the best way to do that. Its on me to be proactive. Reacting isnt enough.

The kid who was given black face was a light-skinned African American kid who was given the makeup to match the skin tones of one of the stars of the film, 11-year-old actor Keith L Williams.

Good Boys is being directed by Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky. It is expected to come out 2019.
