Pete Rock celebrates the 20th anniversary of Nas' debut Illmatic LP and the more recent Nas: Time Is Illmatic documentary with the Time Is Illmatic mixtape. The mix clocks in just under the 45-minute mark and features all 10 tracks from the album as well as appearances from Large Professor, DJ Premier, Q-Tip and L.E.S.. Inspired by the film that was first inspired by the seminal album he helped to produce, Pete Rock drops a note on his passion for the Nas: Time Is Illmatic documentary alongside the tape:

I was motivated to produce this mixtape because ‘Time Is Illmatic’ is a part of hip hop history that everyone should know about; and have in both their music and now film collection.
