Throwback Thursday: The DJ Jazzy Jeff Birthday Edition

Today we celebrate the birthday of one of our favorite selectors, the magnificent DJ Jazzy Jeff, with a nod to both his legendary talent and eerily prophetic vision. A dig back through the archives led us to a clip of Jeff in character as Jazz on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air. Called to testify in court, he assumes the "Hands Up, Don't Shoot" pose when the bailiff approaches to swear him in. Instead of raising just his right hand, he raises both hands to make sure that the officer understands that he is not a threat. When Uncle Phil tells Jazz to lower his arms, his fears - the same concerns that have driven protests against police brutality in recent months - are made all too clear. If this isn't proof that DJ Jazzy Jeff can see the future, I don't know what is:
