Update: CupcakKe Posts First Message After Sending Suicidal Tweet

After posting an alarming message on social media, the 21-year-old Chicago artist is reportedly safe.

On Monday night,CupcakKealarmed online fans with a post on Twitter declaring she was going to commit suicide.

The 21-year-old Chicago rapper, bornElizabeth Harris, then reshared her tweet on Instagram, with the caption, "Thank you for everything yall have done for me I really appreciate it."

Fans and industry peers offered messages of support online, advising her close friends to check up on her.

Early Tuesday morning, CupcakKe's friend, comedianElijah Daniel, tweeted an update confirming via the Chicago Police Department that therapper has been located and is now being hospitalized.

No further details are available at the time.

In August 2018, between the release of her two albumsEphorizeandEden, the CupcakKehad tweeted about her struggles with depression, writing "I'm at a very low & depressed point in my life."
