Progressive beat label Jakarta Records has released its latest seasonal compilation, Autumn in Jakarta, and in doing so unleashed a bevy of crisp and brillaint tracks upon headphone-head-nodders across the globe. With contributions from Ta-ku and Blu, Oddisee, Benny Sings, Suff Daddy, IAMNOBODI, Mura Masa, Juju Rodgers and more, the 15 track release is a satisfying re-up on what the post-hip-hop set is up to, and has more Dilla-fied kick patterns than your eardrums could ever hope to hold.

The vibes continue on FloFilz's chant-sampling "Yollar," which pairs jaunty piano with chain-rattling drums and Arabic vocals to create something truly new. Deeper into the tracklist we're treated to Ta-ku and Blu's "Everyday," (which was originally created as a tribute to Dilla himself), and Oddisee's incredible new "Untitled" missive (better stock up on water, because the man's drums are drier than than the Sahara itself). And then there's the jazz rustle of IAMNOBODI's "Gangster Boy"; the swirling phrygian mega-chop of Suff Daddy's "Pockets."

Across Autumn in Jakarta, its clear that those at the record label have sought to really make something; the record is not just an overview of musical modernity but a roadmap to where we all are (hopefully) headed.
