King avriel
Having posted the music of L.A. alt-r&b songstress, King avriel, for a good number of years at this point, it’s saying something that her recent single, “Caricatures,” is the best song I’ve heard from her to date… let’s just say the video umm does nothing to lessen the song’s impact. avriel doesn’t just literally bare all in this beautifully crafted visual, but does the same in her verses, showing that vulnerability that makes her music so endearing. Make sure to watch it ’til the end as the video’s conclusion may completely flip your perception of what’s going on.
Says avriel of the vid: "We choose what we want to see. With this, you have three choices: to see me as a body, to see me as a mind, or to see me as a complex amalgamation of both. Whether I am fully a human or simply a caricature depends entirely on your vantage point.” Video directed by Napo.
